Jeuveau

What is Jeuveau?
Similar to Botox injections, Jeuveau is a botulinum toxin injection formulated to treat temporarily smooth lines and wrinkles on the face. It is formulated with the same active ingredient as Botox and works by temporarily freezing the facial muscles that contribute to dynamic lines and wrinkles.
While Jeuveau is FDA-approved for cosmetic use to treat glabellar lines (frown lines) between the brows, it can also be used to treat the following concerns:
- Vertical lines on the forehead
- Crow’s feet
- Bunny lines
- Neck bands
- Chin dimples
- Other facial wrinkles

Who is a Candidate for Jeuveau?
Ideal candidates for Jeuveau neurotoxin injections are those who are generally in good health and who are seeking to diminish the appearance of mild frown lines and wrinkles. Individuals who are pregnant or nursing should not receive this treatment. Jeuveau Treatment
Dr. Yco will begin your Jeuveau treatment by cleansing the skin. If desired, a topical numbing cream can also be applied to ensure your comfort. A small needle with then be used to skillfully inject the Jeuveau into the predetermined injection site. The amount of product needed will depend on the area, or areas, that are being treated. Generally, treatments with Jeaveau take anywhere from 15-45 minutes.
Post-Treatment Care
Following Jeuveau injections, patients may experience common side effects such as mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These effects are temporary and should resolve within about a week. Patients should avoid rubbing the treatment area, as well as avoid strenuous activity and alcohol consumption for 24 hours after treatment for the best results. Patients can begin to notice results 2-3 days after Jeuveau treatment, with full results seen after 2 weeks. Results typically last for 3-6 months, after which a touch-up treatment is required.
As with other botulinum toxin injections, there is a rare risk of more serious effects such as allergic reaction or other effects. Please seek out medical attention right away if these effects occur.
